Cranes are widely used in modern production, and proper use along with regular inspection and maintenance is a good way to care for the machinery. During use, the hook of the crane is considered a wear-prone component. Users should pay attention to the surface and internal quality of the crane's hook and be aware of safety hazards associated with it, as detailed below:
1. The surface of the crane's hook should be smooth, without cracks, sharp angles, burrs, peeling, or other defects;
2. The interior of the hook must not have cracks, white spots, or inclusions that affect its safe use;
3. The wear on the dangerous cross-section of the crane's hook must not reach 10% of the original size;
4. Defects on the crane's hook are not allowed to be welded;
5. The opening degree should comply with the provisions of GB10051 section 5.2;
6. The dangerous cross-section of the crane's hook or the hook's handle must not have plastic deformation;
7. The torsional deformation of the crane's hook, that is, the torsion angle of the hook body, must not exceed 10 degrees;
8. The threads of the crane's hook must not be corroded.
